Special Projects

We are very proud to have started a number of special projects over the years. Amongst these are various Irrigations Schemes, not least one that continued for five years to build a series of dams to hold the precious flood waters.

We have held a number of dentistry clinics in the St Catherine’s area and have periodically reopened the dental clinic at the monastery as well as supporting a team of fifteen British Doctors carry out Medical clinics across different tribal regions.

After many years working closely with the National Park in the St Catherine’s region on a number of environmental projects including building loos and signs on Mt Sinai and regenerating gardens in the surrounding areas.

More recent projects have been to paint some of the Government school buildings in the Eastern Sandstone desert and the results have been colourful! These have been a great opportunity to interact and get to know the Bedouin children as well as making their school environment a little more cosmopolitan and fun.

One of the more unusual projects that we have carried out has been a British Army Millenium Marathon across the deserts and mountains of Sinai!
