• In the field, Wind Sand & Stars believes that keeping the safety and well being of the group and locals is a constant priority.
• Our Leaders are trained in Remote Wilderness First Aid that is constantly reviewed and updated. We follow the best possible remote first aid procedures, as applicable if required.
• Our Leaders operate at all times within the safety guidelines issued by Wind Sand & Stars and generally within a safe framework, continually reviewing risk, options and emergency procedure.
• Our Leaders carry a Wind Sand & Stars logbook at all times.
• Our Leaders are taught to help the group with any essential skills, including personal welfare, environmental and local “sensitivity” guidelines
• Our Leaders give positive encouragement and support throughout the journey to ensure the group members benefit and enjoy all the desert has to offer to the full.
